“The opening of satellite offices in smaller cities is helpful for giving remote staff the chance of more in-person collaboration. However, a regular return-to-office is unlikely unless the management layers start to attend in person and they change the old-management mindset to spend more time with their staff and allow them to take on more challenging work,” Phil Fersht, CEO and chief analyst at HFS Research said. He added that in-office work is critical with freshers, to get them trained and effective in a work environment.
