Despite the promise of GenAI, HFS research shows that most firms are stuck at proof of concept (POC), and very few have been able to scale genAI to an enterprise level of delivery.

Our research shows there are four primary reasons, these are:

  1. Technical debt: Legacy investments in systems and processes across applications and data architectures are holding back progress.
  2. New infrastructure demands: Firms need to re-think their IT infrastructure strategy. It must scale data across private and public clouds to ensure security, scalability, and cost management.
  3. Talent gaps: New skills are needed to successfully design, deploy, and adopt genAI solutions that are not the traditional pyramid model, rather than require expertise that brings industry, process, and technology know-how through genAI projects.
  4. Lack of a robust data foundation: Data management is becoming a liability in scaling GenAI versus becoming a strategic asset in driving value.

This executive roundtable supported by NTT DATA will discuss the strategic role IT needs to play in navigating these challenges and scaling genAI projects responsibly. The roundtable will tackle:

  • Strategy for broader adoption. How are you applying what you have learned in POCs to drive further adoption?
  • Modernizing IT. How can enterprises modernize their tech stack to fully capitalize on AI, and what’s the risk if they don’t?
  • Getting your data house in order. Are you leveraging data as an asset, or is it becoming your most significant liability?
  • Scaling success. What activities are you putting in place to transform your organization?
  • Developing a Future-Ready Workforce. How are companies tackling the skills gap, and what’s at stake if they don’t invest in upskilling their workforce?
