This report analyses publicly announced ITO and BPO contracts in the EMEA Countries by service types, key verticals, digital services, and providers. Key findings are:
- EMEA accounted for 35% of the IT-BPO contracts announced in 2017, with 414 ITO and 45 BPO contracts (with an estimated value of $15 billion and $1.1 billion respectively) being signed. The number of IT-BPO outsourcing contracts in the region grew by 41% in 2017 as compared to 2016, with similar growth for both TCV and ACV.
- Five-year deals were the most frequently signed as buyers chose these longer-term deals to increase cost efficiency.
- The UK & Ireland (35%) remains the biggest outsourcing market within EMEA. The public sector (27%) and BFS (15%) were the lead consumers in this market.
- In 2017, the number of public sector deals grew by 65%, whereas other industries such as BFS, energy & utilities, travel, transportation & hospitality, manufacturing, and retail & ecommerce have seen a drop.
- Most ITO services were standalone or bundled with digital services, which holds 42% (standalone) of the total, followed by ADM (37%), infrastructure (14%), and multi ITO services (7%).
