T-Systems understands the telecom market and the peripheral services around the service provider has a significant presence in the telecom sector for it has been serving its parent, Deutsche Telecom, from the start. Currently, the service provider going through internal transformation and charting out a new roadmap for future. The parent, Deutsche Telecom, considered divestiture at one point, but changed mind by appointing a new CEO, Adel Al-Saleh, (who had a proven record of turning businesses around) to revive the business as well as create new products, services and markets. The new CEO is in the midst of restructuring initiatives and is in favor of dividing the company into two separate entities by type of customer – by keeping one unit with a more market-focused IT outsourcing agenda and another solely servicing the parent company’s businesses.
