Our extensive 2014 Procurement Value Index Study of nearly 500 procurement professionals undertaken in conjunction with the Sourcing Interest Group (SIG) is summarized in this point of view. We capture the progress that procurement leaders are making in transforming their functions, how technology is and isn’t helping, the role of procurement outsourcing in facilitating change and what matters to these leaders as they change their functions from legacy models to a value orientation.
