The HfS 50 Executive Council is the premier peer discussion group for enterprise outsourcing and business services executives. This by-invitation-only program fosters networking, debate, best practice sharing, and innovation among the most senior sourcing executives of large global enterprises.
Over the course of this two-day event, HfS executives led the attendees through a series of discussions and workshops designed to solicit feedback and insight into today’s most relevant sourcing opportunities and issues. Keeping with HfS norms, the event was both informal and direct. Attendees responded to this comfortable environment by quickly making connections with their sourcing peers and sharing their deep experience and knowledge with each other.
HfS is leveraging the HfS 50 Executive Council now – and for future council meetings – to further define, plan for, and begin executing the “sourcing blueprint” that will guide organizations and the industry into the future. It is HfS’s responsibility to gather the feedback from our sourcing network of over 110,000 users and to combine this with the experience and practical knowledge of the HfS 50 Executive Council members. The mixture of practical insight, research, and industry feedback will shape the set of operating and process paradigms that we believe will have a long and beneficial impact on the industry.
One of our attendees at the March 2012 meeting, who actively participated in each of the scheduled events, is the ITO governance lead at one of the world’s largest organizations. Phil Fersht, HfS CEO, sat down with this person and asked for candid feedback regarding the event. The conversation touched upon several topics, including the uniqueness of the event and this person’s current role, responsibilities, and sourcing issues. The conversation continued to assess the major themes presented at the event, as well as this person’s expectations regarding the next HfS 50 Executive Council to be held in October 2012 in Boston, USA.
