HfS analysts recently had the opportunity to spend a few days in Guatemala visiting Capgemini’s delivery center and interacting with local government officials. Overall, we believe Guatemala has a lot of potential as a sourcing destination when integrated with a hybrid global delivery model. Market-leading service providers such as Capgemini have been able to bring their global process models (e.g., best practices and collaborative tools) to deliver complex distributed services irrespective of geography, yet still leverage the location’s lower cost and strong talent pool advantages. In this document, we discuss Guatemala’s BPO sector in brief and elaborate on Capgemini’s current progress and future plans for BPO delivery in the country.
