Sustainability is an integral part of business strategies – from meeting regulation to aligning with all the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). Beyond traditional business benefits is an accelerating, albeit politically bumpy, global trend toward driving positive impact for the environment and society. The HFS Horizons report for sustainability services evaluates how service providers—across consulting, technology, IT, engineering, and broad business services—are helping businesses integrate sustainability into the core of their strategies, pushing forward innovation, and creating market impact while meeting regulatory compliances with new levels of transparency and accountability.
In the HFS Horizons: Sustainability Services, 2024, we analyzed the capabilities of 25 sustainability services providers. This report includes detailed profiles of the providers, outlining their HFS Horizons placement, key metrics, and their strengths and development opportunities across the three Horizons:
Horizon 1: Enabling enterprises to drive transformation to address compliance and “getting started” sustainability objectives.
Horizon 2: Horizon 1 + Helping enterprises to address sustainability across multiple interlinked parts of the organization.
Horizon 3: Horizon 2 + Enabling comprehensive strategies where sustainability is integrated across partnerships, networks, and key clients, and is becoming embedded throughout ecosystems.
Note: All service providers within a Horizon are listed alphabetically.
