Home » Research & Insights » Symphony Teleca’s Analytics Practice: Connecting Next-Gen Services

Symphony Teleca (ST) made news when it was acquired by Harman International Industries in Jan 2015 for $780 million. Harman is one of the world’s biggest makers of in-car media systems and owns iconic consumer brands such as Harmon Kardon and JBL. In January 2015, HfS Research covered the dynamics of this acquisition, highlighting the combination of hardware, software, and services that aims to capture the emerging opportunities created by Internet of Things (IoT), especially in “Connected Cars.”

Analytical insights are starting to underpin the success of IoT initiatives, with IoT and sensor-driven big data analysis now often spoken about in the same sentence.  So it is no surprise that Symphony Teleca has a growing enterprise analytics services business within its fold. HfS analysts recently spent time with Satheesh Kumar, SVP, GM, Analytics at Symphony Teleca, to understand the capabilities and growth plans for the company’s analytics business.
